One Week Later

Jett & Canon are one week old today and luckily this first week in the NICU has flown by.

I have a lot to write, but wanted to quickly share a few pictures of the boys now that you can see their little faces.  When they were on the CPAP machine it never came off and neither did the hat, so we weren't even 100% sure what they looked like, if they had hair, etc.!  Canon managed to get off his CPAP first because he somehow moved around so much that it made rug burns on his poor little forehead!  So they quickly switched him over to a nasal cannula, which they don't typically use, but he did great on it.  Unfortunately, Jett had to stay on the CPAP so we spent days wondering what he looked like!

They are supposed to lay on your chest, but Canon refuses to do so.  He has to be able to look at you when you talk to him.
Jett doing Kangaroo Time, he absolutely loves it.

The boys have both been under the jaundice lights for days, so they have to wear shades
Jett & Daddy
This is the first time they took Jett's CPAP off just so we could see what he looks like.  Resemble anyone?
Even Ross, who thinks all babies look alike, said "HE LOOKS JUST LIKE ME!"

Jett gets his CPAP off for good and loves it.  He also LOVES laying on his mommy!
