Six Weeks - Our First Sonogram

On February 29th we had our sonogram to confirm our pregnancy and see how many babies we might possibly have.  We had three embryos at the time of our transfer.  Two of them were average quality and one was poor.  In most cases IVF doctors will only transfer two embryos, but given the quality we had we decided with our doctor to go ahead and transfer all three.  They did tell us in the lab that it looked like one of our embryos might be splitting into identical twins, but they couldn't be sure.  Given this information I was a bit nervous that we might end up with more than two. :)

We were so thrilled to not only see two little beating hearts, but to also hear the heartbeat was 166 on Baby A.  (They didn't measure Baby B at this appt.)  At 6 weeks you may or may not get a heartbeat depending on when implantation takes place.  It was such a relief to see that they already had two strong little hearts.
